Remote Connection Instructions

Connecting to the Hampton Network

When you need to connect to the Hampton network from a remote location, there are three options depending on your requirements.

HOW TO

When you need to connect to the network from a remote location, there are a three options for you depending on your requirements. This document gives instructions for each option:

See your email using WEBMAIL

Access to the network through Citrix using NFUSE

Use VPN to access the network

Note: You need internet access for all options. The last two options require a download from the internet. Public computers may block this download, so if you are accessing information on a public computer, you may only be able to use the Webmail connection to open Outlook.

 

 
 

Using Webmail to view emails

Open up your internet explorer and type in the webmail address: https://webmail.hamptonaffiliates.com/ in the address field. Typing in: webmail.hamptonaffiliates.com, will also open up the window.

 

Click on Go or press Enter

When this window is displayed:

 

•  Enter your normal network user name

•  Enter your Password

•  Click "Log On" or enter.

To determine which security option to choose:

1. If you are on a public or shared computer - one that is not owned by Hampton or kept for personal use in your home - always select this option.

2. If your are on a Hampton owned PC or your personal home computer, you may choose "This is a private computer".

 
     
 

Access to the network through Citrix using NFUSE

Click on the following link or type in:

Please note that it is https:// not http://

Click on Go or press Enter

Enter your user name, password & domain: hls and click on Log In.

You may be prompted to install the ICA client on your computer. Public computers may block this option.

Once you are logged in, click on your Citrix desktop icon . You can open documents and access your network from here.  


 

 
 

When you need to VPN into the network:

Type in : https://ssl.hamptonaffiliates.com.

A Windows Security Window may be displayed:

 
Select Yes.


At the login screen, enter your username and password. This is your regular Windows login and password.



If this is the first time that you have logged into the VPN, you will be walked through a series of set up windows.

After the set up is done, the VPN tunnel will be established and you are now able to access network resources.

After the tunnel is established, you may close your web browser.



In the right corner of your task bar, you will find an icon for the VPN client
