Mountain Lover’s Paradise

Population: 1,116 – Lewis County

Morton is a mountain lover’s paradise. Located along the White Pass highway in mountain foothills, this town inspires people to get outdoors and fish, ski or camp. But it also inspires a burgeoning art scene. Take in a performance at the Roxy Theater, browse local galleries, or present a fly to an unsuspecting trout. There’s a wide variety of activities to enjoy at this former stop along the Tacoma Eastern Railroad.

Morton has been a forest products stronghold since 1931. Hampton acquired the sawmill in 1999 and since then has made significant upgrades to usher the mill into the modern era of wood manufacturing.
