Tillamook Headlight Herald – Mar 27, 2017: Nearly a quarter of the people in attendance were employees of Hampton Lumber and their families…announcing the company’s displeasure at the awarding of a $2 million TIGER grant to the Port of Newport to create a log export facility. The Hampton employee said he was concerned how the exporting of raw logs would impact local sawmills.
