We are building a new sawmill in Allendale County and expect to begin operations in early 2027. We are so excited to join the Allendale community! While we may not be ready to welcome new employees for a few months, we are actively building our candidate pipeline for upcoming needs. While specific job openings have not yet been finalized, we anticipate a variety of positions across all areas of mill operations, including:
- Entry-level production & clean-up roles
- Skilled trades (maintenance, electrical, millwright)
- Equipment operators
- Supervisory and leadership positions
- Administrative, safety, and human resources roles

📣 Exciting news here at Hampton! Today, we announced plans to build a new sawmill in South Carolina! The new facility will expand Hampton’s presence in the U.S. and support the company’s long-term vision to become North America’s preferred source of wood solutions.
We currently operate nine sawmills in Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia. The new mill in South Carolina will complement these existing operations and help diversify our product offerings.

This facility will expand Hampton’s presence in the U.S. and support the company’s long-term vision to become North America’s preferred source of wood solutions. The new mill will specialize in producing high-quality Southern Yellow Pine framing lumber. This will be the company’s first new sawmill on the East Coast and once fully operational, will provide 125-140 new jobs in the area.
