This past summer, Hampton Lumber’s Tillamook sawmill proudly invested in the future of the community by contributing over $26,000 to local programs and organizations that make a difference in the lives of Tillamook County residents. These donations reflect our commitment to supporting youth development, education, and community engagement.
This year, Hampton supported the Tillamook County Junior Livestock Auction (JLAC), which plays a vital role in fostering agricultural education and leadership among local youth. Through hands-on experience in raising and showing livestock, students learn responsibility, business skills, and the value of hard work. Hampton’s contributions help sustain this tradition, ensuring that young people have the resources they need to succeed in 4-H and FFA programs. These funds directly support student projects and scholarships, reinforcing the importance of agriculture in our rural economy.
Hampton is also a big supporter of youth athletic programs. Team sports teach more than just athletic skills—they build character, teamwork, and resilience. Hampton’s donation to the Tillamook High School Boys and Girls Soccer programs helps provide essential equipment, uniforms, and travel support for student-athletes. Donations like this complement the $200K endowment Hampton established with the Tillamook County Family YMCA last year to help reduce sports participation costs for local families.
This past summer, the mill also participated in events such June Dairy Parade and contributed to groups like the Great Escape Motorcycle Club (GEMC), which organizes the annual Trask Mountain event, a gathering that celebrates outdoor recreation and brings visitors to our region. This event not only promotes responsible trail use and environmental stewardship but also boosts local tourism and small businesses. Our contribution supports the club’s efforts to maintain safe, sustainable riding opportunities while fostering community spirit.
