In the heart of the Willamette Valley, Willamina embodies the essence of a close-knit community tucked amidst working forests, farms, and vineyards. It’s a place where simplicity meets beauty, a small town with big-hearted locals. Head east and you’ll find Salem, Oregon’s capital and just 30 miles to the west you’ll find coastal beaches.
This past Saturday we celebrated the grand opening of the Willamina Pump Track at Oaken Hills Park! David Hampton had the idea for the project and worked closely with the city and other partners to make it a reality! The new park will enrich the local scene, promote healthy living, and create a fun spot for families to get active and connect.
Thanks to Velosolutions` expert design and construction, this all-ages, all-skill-level track is open to bikes, skateboards, scooters, and more—encouraging kids to ditch their phones, hit the outdoors, and build lasting memories. As proud supporters at Hampton Lumber, we`re overjoyed to see this transformative space come alive and allow kids to another avenue for fun and connection.

Sheridan School District has begun work on a 24,000 sq ft facility that would serve multiple rural districts with technical skills training in the areas of Manufacturing, Fire Science, Diesel and Heavy Equipment, and Agribusiness! Further funding is needed to finish construction, which is why we support House Bill 3552, a bill that would fund Regional Career Centers and help Sheridan provide these critical career pathways. Hampton Lumber has already donated $1M to this important project to help get it over the finish line!

Our first mill.
The Willamina sawmill was our first, and we’ve been operating in the community since 1942. The mill has changed a lot over the years. In fact, the facility is currently undergoing a renovation, which will introduce new technologies and efficiencies to help ensure the mill will remain competitive for the next 80 years.
Here’s what we do.
At Hampton Lumber, we’re committed to sustainable solutions, and building a dependable, ethical supply chain for building projects near and far. Here’s what happens in Willamina:
- We produce 500 MMBF of Douglas Fir each year
- We offer a wide variety of framing lumber and lamstock, catering to various construction needs.
- 2×4 to 2×14, 8′ to 28′
- 45mm x 90mm to 105mm and 45mm-105mm, 3 to 4M
- We provide best-in-class services including WWPA grading, paper wrap, anti-stain, kiln drying and barcoding upon request
